I am a balanced trainer. Balanced Dog Training refers to any approach to dog training or behavior modification which involves the use of both reward based techniques, and humanly compassionately delivered adverse consequences. In other words, the trainer shows the dog that their choices and behaviors can result in either pleasant or unpleasant results. I most closely adhere to the Michael Ellis School of Dog Training, but I also use a variety of other behavior modification techniques more closely related to horse training. My goal always is to produce a soft dog who so loves their owner that all that is needed to correct is a frown and a no don't do that. I have trained a wide variety of breeds and working dogs. I love keeping pets in their homes and designing systems that emphasize the relationship between owner and dog.
