In-Home Daycare

Have A Nice Daycare

194 Fanyon Street, Milpitas, CA 95035

About

As a mom who had to work when my daughter was young, I understand how hard it is to trust your child to someone elses care, especially an infant. With this in mind, I would like to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Lisa, I'm 47 years old, have been married for 23 years and we have a beautiful 19 year old daughter who has just started college in West Virginia. My hobbies include spending time with our horses, camping, scrapbooking, books, and movies.

I hd been a Girl Scout leader for several years, and found that I really enjoyed working with children. So after some research I decided to get my Small Family Home Childcare license. For those of you who may not know, to get your license you have to take a class at the Social Services office in downtown SJ, pay a small annual fee, get First Aid and CPR certified for infant, child, and adult (which has to be renewed annually), and have a social services worker inspect your home. There's more to it, but those are the basics.

When your child is in my care, he or she basically becomes part of my family. I am not a teacher, and I do not have a set schedule or curriculum. I believe that small children should be allowed to learn and grow at their own pace; I provide a safe and fun place for them to do exactly that. Breakfast (for children arriving before 8 a.m.), lunch, and an afternoon snack are included in my prices. Meals are healthy, and I do not serve the children any sugary drinks such as cool-aid or juice, just milk (with meals) and water. My living room, where the children spend most of their time, is air conditioned in the summer. When needed, discipline is given by using the "Time Out" system.

So that's probably enough about me for now. Please give me a call or text me so that we can schedule a time for you to meet me in person and get answers to any questions you may have. I hope to hear from you soon!
