Happy Times Playcare

Set in a serene and peaceful neighborhood in North Poway, we provide warm and caring environment where children can feel like they are at their home away from home. We have over half an acre of land for children to play and learn! The PlayCare encompasses most of the home, however, a large Playroom area is dedicated to the children for learning, playing and developing new skills to help them succeed during their formative years. We have a playground area, interactive garden, sports field, creativity corral, mini musician zone, "esteem builders obstacle challenge" and toddler yoga sessions.

All meals are included and we serve organic/ local produce.

Licensed by the State of California, we have two staff members who are properly trained to care for the safety and health of your children. Marcie is an eager, outgoing and energetic mother of twins. Andrea has a PHD in pshycology with a youthful zest for life and adoration of children. Both have significant experience working with children of all ages and appreciate the uniqueness of each and every child.

Happy Times PlayCare LLC has developed its concept around the principles of "developmentally appropriate practice" as defined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the whole hearted belief that children should be free to be children and enjoy the curiosity and energy that accompanies being a kid. We plan activities that promote the growth and development of the "whole child" and focus on social, emotional, cognitive and physical development as well as creative expression through art, music, language and play. Our PlayCare uses "Little Treasures" curriculum and a "Life Skills" approach to help guide instruction. We also emphasis diversity and acceptance by teaching children about the world around them and the different cultures, foods, languages and customs specific countries share. Teaching the children to be socially responsible is paramount. We practice sustainable living whenever possible by making children aware of the nature world. Children will grow to understand the value of the 3R's (reduce, reuse, recycle), gardening, and responsible water consumption. A weekly schedule of activities is posted every Friday for the following week.
Our daily schedule includes breakfast, lunch and two snacks. Nap time is at 12:30. With prior parental approval, we conduct weekly field trips to the local park, zoo and lake.

Hours 8am-6 pm Mon - Friday. After hours care is available.
