Happier At Home's values are reflected in our motto, "Giving Compassion, Respect and Independence." Happier At Home was founded by Debbie Bernacki, RN and Certified Case Manager after an experience in dealing with a home care agency when her mother was diagnosed with brain cancer at at 64. Debbie established Happier At Home in the way that she would have wanted care to be delivered for her mother.
Our focus is to keep seniors at home or their choice of residence and avoid loss of friends, possessions, andindependence drained by the battles of daily living. We pride ourselves on matching highly qualified, compassionate caregivers to fit the personality, interests, and culture of your loved ones. In that way we lift spirits not only of seniors, but of the family caregiver as well.
Happier At Home provides both in-home care and geriatric care management. Our personalized and affordable services are available from 1 to 24 hours per day. We can help with: Meal preparation, shopping, running errands, transportation, medication reminders, housekeeping, companionship and mental stimulation, and much more depending on your needs. We are trusted by the Alzheimer's Association and provide care with our Certified Dementia Care Specialists for those with dementia.
Our caregivers are the most reliable, professional and caring in the industry. All of our caregivers are screened with personal and professional background checks, drug screening, criminal background checks and department of motor vehicle checks. They all have driver's licenses and their own reliable car. We insure and bond our caregivers, and all are employees as opposed to contractors. We have a 90% retention rate of caregivers in an industry that usually has a 90% turn over rate!
Happier At Home is unique in that we also provide geriatric care management. Our care managers help you to achieve your goals; whether that it is to remain in your home, find a senior community, travel with you on vacation, or relocate to a distant area. Your Geriatric Care Managers may attend your medical appointments and provide feedback to your family members. If hospitalized, the care manager will work with hospital staff and attend discharge conferences to help develop a discharge plan focused on your goals. We help with: advocacy with Health & Service Providers, Re-Assessment & Monitoring for Changing Needs, Medication Management, & act as a Resource for transitions to higher levels of care.…
