Welcome!
My name is Marilyn Lockman, and I'm a Maryland licensed family childcare provider (Registration# 259346) and the owner of Handprints Early Learning Center. We are pleased that you are considering us to provide care for your little one(s). We provide quality childcare in a loving home environment for children ages 0 - 5 years. At Handprints Early Learning Center, children learn through what they naturally do best - playing!
Our Mission, Vision & Philosophy
Our goal is to provide your little one(s) with a clean, safe, comfortable, and nurturing learning environment where they learn through play. The childcare environment and activities are planned for both the group and individual child based on their unique needs, abilities, learning styles, and interests. Activities and experiences are designed to foster growth for the whole child (the physical self, the emotional self, the social self, the cognitive self, and the creative self), engage the family unit and ultimately strengthen the child's microsystem (community).
At Handprints Early Learning Center children are free to play and learn, while developing the rudiments necessary to successfully transition into primary school programs.
Healthy and nutritious meals and snacks are included in the cost of your tuition.
