Growing Together Family Daycare

Growing Together Family Daycare offers a warm family environment filled with play and emergent learning. Our intimate setting allows me to get to know my students, who then feel safe, heard and accepted for the unique individuals they are. I make room in our schedule for children to work together to plan activities and solve any problems that arise. This democratic approach offers my students ongoing practice at hearing and being heard, problem-solving, and empathy, and builds essential social skills such as emotional regulation.
We follow a flexible structure of snack, outdoor time, lunch, stories, nap and snack again with frequent doses of free play, open-ended art, and song. We also dig and splash, dance and draw, and sample treats from our organic garden. Snacks and lunches are healthy and plant-based. Spanish is offered weekly, which provides the many known benefits of multilingualism, and is a reflection my belief in nurturing a respect for different cultures, perspectives and experiences in our global community.
