Growing Minds Daycare

Hello. My name is Mallory Uhrlass and I am providing a Home Daycare service for young children at my beautiful, fun, and artistic home in Bound Brook. My background is in Education and Art. I am a certified Art teacher and have 10 years of teaching experience in public school, private school, day programs for students with special needs, and in-home art/music instruction. Before teaching I was a nanny to a young child for 5 years. I can provide references.

Due to the many changes in the last year with Covid, I have decided to change my career and use the skills and knowledge I've acquired through my many years of teaching and apply them to providing a much needed service of childcare.

My husband and I have been home with our 19 month old son for the past few months and it has been a joy watching him learn and grow. We have developed a wonderful routine with him and look forward to including other children in our daily activities. We feel the opportunity for the children to interact, grow together, and bond would be beneficial to everyone involved. Our son loves to play and is a very active, sweet and loving boy.

My husband Andrew has a background in coaching and has coached wrestling at Bound Brook high school and middle school for almost 10 years. He will be assisting me with caring and supporting the children in our daycare. Andrew is a very fun, energetic and engaging Dad who seems to never get tired. He also has references from families in the community.

We are passionate about giving young ones the opportunity to reach their full potential through enriching experiences like art, music, and play. We love to fill the day with engaging activities such as cooking nutritious meals together, gardening in our backyard, arts and crafts, dancing, singing, playing musical instruments, lots of nature walks, and sunshine. We have plenty of fun and educational toys, puzzles, and games available, as well as a big fenced in backyard. As parents we have taken many precautions to provide a safe environment to learn and grow.

We look forward to developing a routine that will suit your child's needs, and with the use of apps and other technology you can keep track of your child's schedule/routine and keep in contact.
