In-Home Daycare

Never thought of doing this before, but now that I am semi-retired, things are different. I have 8 grandchildren. A couple of them I have cared for from birth until they were old enough for school.
Though my background is computers, I am currently working nights/weekends as a security guard. It's ok, but it means I miss a lot of birthday parties, christenings, etc. And my wife (who still works days), misses me on the weekends. I don't need a lot of money, just enough to supplement Social Security and to pay for the car I bought to drive to work (smile). And I need something to do -- 500 TV channels and STILL nothing decent to watch!
I'm thinking there must be something age appropriate for me to do besides Security or being a greeter at Wal-Mart. When I started seeing childcare jobs on Indeed.com, I thought to myself, hmm, I could do that.
If you're willing to take this further, maybe I could meet you and your child and see if we connect.
I suppose you were hoping for someone that has verifiable experience with references. All I can offer you is that I will keep your child safe and happy in your absence. I am a good man, a moral man.
