Grandma K's World

I have experience teaching before my kids were born and have substituted in public schools in Geauga County for years. I hope to start a Child Home Care, Play-based, Child-led business, but what it will be exactly depends on the need of the public and interest. We make a mess and have fun! Lots of sensory opportunities, outdoor play, building materials, sand, swings, water play, painting, play dough, hundreds of books on site. Preschool Prep videos (for those interested in them). Music, instruments, riding toys. I have taught Kindergarten, 4th Grade and Preschool, and Preschool Art. We have lots of things to climb on...roll on...spin on. Large yard with shade trees and open. Basement child friendly with Fisher Price toys, dolls, American Girl dolls, loose-parts, cars, blocks of all kinds including Magnetic Stick 'n Stack, wood, Duplo, Legos and much more. I can make this after school care for Westwood elementary or St. Anselm in Chesterland, West Geauga Schools. I have been doing this for years for family and would like to add a couple more children or families depending on the need and if every day or just a couple days a week. Still in developing stages but I would like to see the interest before setting up before the next school year - Fall 2016. I have 2 grandchildren with me and will have two more from time to time with their mother. It is my understanding at this time I could included up to four more children to the group. Much needs to be worked out, but for those interested I would like to know so I can decide which direction to go. I could also have people over with their parents for play dates if we decide to just have a play group here. I am not exactly sure what I want to do, it does depend on the interest.
