About
Our days at Good Earth Farm School are designed to create a balance between free, creative play and more structured activities. We use a Waldorf based curriculum which has themes that mimic the changing of seasons. We work with the young child first by creating a warm, beautiful and loving home-like environment, which is protective and secure and where things happen in a predictable, regular manner. We engage in domestic, practical and artistic activities that the children can readily imitate (for example: baking, painting, gardening and handicrafts), adapting the work to the changing seasons. We see to nurture the children’s power of imagination by encouraging free play. This free or fantasy play helps them to experience many aspects of life more deeply. Toys are generally open-ended and made of natural materials.
