In early 2015, after an unsatisfying experience with the commercial daycare setting, I made the difficult decision to transition from full-time working mom, to full-time stay-at-home mom. Thankfully, I have loved every second of it! It has been an immense joy to be able to stay home with my 2yr old daughter, Ella- watching her explore, learn, and grow every day. I have since decided that I would love to open our home to another child. I fully understand the stress and anxiety a parent can go through in the search for exceptional child care- Who can I trust? Will my child be safe? Will they be talked to, read to, cuddled, played with, and most of all, loved? The answer is, yes! My goal is to alleviate any fears you may have and to earn your trust (and the trust of your child), as a devoted and loving caretaker. One of the hardest days of my life was the first time I dropped my daughter off at daycare. I researched extensively and spent many hours observing different centers, choosing the highest quality (and rated) provider in my area. They were genuinely wonderful, but ultimately that setting wasn't able to provide the level of enrichment and one-on-one care I needed and wanted for my daughter. In addition, illness was a huge factor in my decision. After 3 months and 4 ear infections, 3 colds, a non-stop runny nose, countless fevers, many doctor visits, and ultimately a hospitalization due to pneumonia, I (along with our pediatrician) decided that her healthy had suffered long enough. Here in my home, I am able to provide all the things a larger setting has to offer, at a much lower teacher/child ratio, health risk, and cost to you. It is my goal to provide your family with the same comfort and piece of mind, that I would hope to have for my own children, in their child care setting. To ensure that your child receives the individual attention they need and deserve, I have limited enrollment in my home to two, full-time children. I am open to the possibility of part-time enrollment. We can discuss this in further detail, if that is what you are looking for. Enrollment is currently open for one child (or a sibling set), between 1mo-30mo of age, at time of enrollment. I look forward to meeting you and your child/ren!
