Gods House Of Children

I am an In-Home child care in business since 2009 continuing to grow grow grow! The children have come since birth, and now are going off to Pres-School. I have a program I created myself which is designed to prepare children for the-preschool setting and learning which so far has been very successful. I have a blended group of children who are daily taught to love and forgive each other! Our mission statement is: Affordable Childcare practiced through the Love of God! For our newborns, we totally adhere to moms schedule. As they get older, we monitor all millstones they should be accomplishing as each child develops at their own pace. We encourage independence, curiosity, learning, learning, learning and most of all leadership! We also encourage each parent to create a goal for their child at all times for us to work on. with their child. Exercise and good eating habits is a BIG part of our life here at Gods House of Children. We plant a garden in the spring with the children and harvest the crops together. Its amazing that we actually eat from the garden until Thanksgiving! It teaches the children good health and they look forward to planting and watching the vegetables grow! With all the activities that we do here at Gods House of Children we stay on a daily schedule. It may vary from time to time, but here is an example of how a normal day would go: I open at 6 am so the children who arrive this early some times may go back to sleep, Around 7am I serve some fruit and let them watch some TV while I prepare for breakfast which is served at 8am. At 9am we may have a circle time where we share whats on our mind.Then we begin our lesson.We always have a number, color, shape,and letter, of the week. We go over this daily or we may have a worksheet that day. there is always a lesson plan, and each child is givin a notebook similar to the one they will use in Pre-K. Upon completing our lesson its playtime! The lesson last no longer then one hour at this age the attention span does not last much longer then 45 min to an hour. So from 10 am to 11am we go to the park, play games, have races. etc. all sorts of activities my assistants come up with During this time I serve a quick snack. usually some fruit.After playtime we prepare for lunch at 12pm.We use the bathroom, wash our hands, etc. After lunch we take turns picking our nap time story. Nap is from 1pm-3pm. My goal when I started was to create a loving, learning atmosphere! hope I've done just that!
