The God Is Love Christian Daycare is a daycare program for children newborn through five years of age. It provides children with a loving, personal and intimate environment that encourages spiritual, personal, social and academic growth.
I offer a preschool curriculum which includes learning the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, etc. This is done through repetition, hands-on-activities, such as arts and crafts, which encourage the development of fine and gross motor skills, and incorporating these things into everyday life. I also use an online program, Starfall, which I have found very useful in teaching the children preschool basics.
I also teach the children Bible words and scriptures through song and repetition. Everyday I read to them stories from a children's Bible and also from the original Bible while putting them down for a nap explaining to them what is taking place in whatever we may be reading.
Throughout the day there is praise and worship music playing quietly. I believe in encouraging joy, praise, singing and worship in children. There is nothing more beautiful than seeing a child freely praising and worshipping God.
The children also have "free-play time" where they are free to play, read books, color, etc. And we also walk to the park for about an hour of outdoor playtime. And take weekly trips to the library for a sing-a-long.
The God Is Love Christian Daycare is open year round Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. I am occasionally available for overtime or weekend care. Any non-contracted care will be by special arrangement only. There will be an extra charge for this arrangement.

1:30pm- 2:30pm Nap/ quiet time
2:30pm- 2:45pm Snack
2:45pm- 5:00pm Free playtime
