I'm Denise, a friendly, energetic 22-year-old girl from Germany. I have trained as a nursery school teacher for five years and have a lot of experience with children from 3 months to 15 years. I want to give you a little idea where I have worked different times. From September 2004 to August 2005, I have worked in a preschool, where two other preschool teachers and I took care of 30 children, ages 3 to 6. Besides playing with the children, I also made different activities with them like baking, cooking, arts and crafts, singing songs, doing sports, or teaching about some special things. From September 2005 to August 2006, I have worked in a day care center, where I took care of children of 3 to 10 years. I also played games with them and did some activities with them like reading books, playing soccer, playing table tennis, doing wood crafts, and dancing. I also was responsible for their homework and helped them by doing this. The children found a lot of trust in me and told me also about their problems, which they had with their school, their friends, or their classmates. I tried to find together with the kids a solution for these problems. From September 2006 to August 2008, I visited an academy in Noerdlingen in Germany, where I learned all about child care and a lot of how to handle different situations, to handle with children, and especially how to handle with children with special needs. In Summer of 2007, six other people and I were with 40 children, aged 7 to 15 in the North Sea, where we spent three weeks. In these three weeks I learned how to create an exciting interesting day for the kids, and we also played games, done a lot of sports, made exciting trips, and I created my own rallye, which I made with the kids. In these three weeks, I learned also to be responsible for the children 24-hours a day and always being there, if they had any problems with their room-neighbors or their friends or especially get homesickness. From September 2008 to August 2009, I have worked in a day care center, where I took care of children of 9 months to 6 years. While at this job, I learned to be responsible for their hygiene, especially of the children who were under 3. So I learned how to change their diapers and to bathe them, when it was necessary. But I also learned to do short, but interesting, activities with them like singing songs, doing easy arts and crafts, doing easy sports, and playing and experimenting with instruments. I'm a really warmhearted, friendly girl, who loves to be with children and do different things and activities with them. In my free time, I love reading books, doing a lot of sports like walking, running, swimming, playing badminton, and dancing. I'm also a really open person, who loves to be with other people, especially with girlfriends and doing things with them. Since August 2009, I have been to the States to do my year abroad and work as an Au Pair. Now I'm searching for another nice family for another year, who wants help and support with the kids, but also have a new family member. I'm sure, that you'll like my work with the kids and having me around you.
