Glad Tidings Christian Academy's mission is to provide a high quality education to all children in and beyond our community, taught by qualified, caring professionals with the goal of developing the whole child spiritually, academically, socially, and physically; Instilling obedience to God's Word in all our students. GTCA is a private school located at 1400 Brisbane Avenue, Birmingham, Al 35214. We operate solely on tuition payments, fundraisers and donations from our community. The ABEKA Curriculum is taught at GTCA. Our school specializes in Academics and Fine Arts. The music department has partnered with the Alabama School of Fine Arts in the area of piano. If students remain diligent in their piano studies from 1st grade through 6th grade, they will be eligible to audition for ASFA.

We accept ages beginning at 2 1/2 years old on or before September 1st and must be potty-trained to enter our K-3 program. A child must be 4 years old on or before September 1, to enter the K-4 program. A child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, to enter the K-5 program, and 6 years old on or before September 1, to be eligible or considered for the 1st grade. GTCA presently excels to grade 7. School begins at 7:50a.m. and the Late Bell rings at 8:00a.m. All students dismiss at 3:00p.m. An annual registration fee of $75 is required for all students entering GTCA. This fee is non-refundable. The annual book fee is $225. Tuition is as follows: $400 per month- K3 - 7th grades.

Tuition may be paid monthly, semi annually, or annually. All accounts are due on the 1st of the month and late after the 10th of the month. Acceptable payment methods: cashiers check, money order, Cash App, Recurring (auto drafts) and Debit Cards. We accept Childcare Central and Childcare Resources for families needing financial assistance.
