Hi! I'm Brandi, founder of Getaway OCS, Pet Services. We are a completely licensed, insured, bonded, and accredited by the BBB, business. As a local graduate of University of North Carolina Wilmington, with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and a minor in animal behavior, I began pet sitting and transportation while still attending UNCW.

Meanwhile, my best friend was moving and she had hired a company to transport her pet but he needed to boarded a few days out-of-state before he could be flown out. Unfortunately and very unexpectedly, her pedigree, in-tact husky mysteriously "laid down and died," after 2 days in boarding. That, combined with the rising need for pet services even pre-COVID, really motivated me to marry my love for animals with my passion for helping others and create this company.

After building up clientele for about a year, I applied for the LLC and it came into effect January 1, 2021. That same friend has since joined my team and we hired our first employees June 2021. We pride ourselves on transparency and honesty and every client, as well as employees, are considered an extension of family.

We offer a variety of pet services including in-home, overnight care, cat care packages, drop-ins, and long-distance pet transportation. To make your life easier, all services are 100% customizable. Our Pet Nanny will go above and beyond with complimentary meet & greets, mail collection, watering plants, and taking the trash to the curb!

Whether you are here to visit or here to stay, if you find yourself needing someone to look after your little (and some not so little!) companions, we are here for you. We will happily come tend to your exotic and caged pet needs as well. We are incredibly passionate about helping both people and their pets. We consider ourselves very blessed to be able to call this our career.

With over 40 years combined experience working with all sorts of critters, you can be sure your pets are in good hands. We not only have experience with dogs and cats but also various large and caged pets such as goats, horses, rats, gerbils, hamsters, ferrets, birds, fresh & saltwater aquariums and more. We even offer exotic pet care for Sugar Gliders, Chinchillas, Guinea Pigs, various constrictors, monitor lizards, geckos, turtles and tortoises and the like.
