Dear Parent,

I would like thank you for your interest in my services and take this opportunity to introduce myself. I have been caring for children professionally for 17 years. My husband of 18 years is very supportive of my work with children and often helps me supervise the group in the late afternoon. We have two children of our own, ages 17 and 14 years old.

I have training in infant and child safety and CPR, effective methods of nurturing positive growth and development, proper nutrition for children, and craft ideas. I have education through Kankakee Community College in the Early Childhood field.

I chose to care for children, because I enjoy watching them learn and grow. Child care continues to be a rewarding experience for me. It is wonderful to see how well children respond to a supportive and loving environment. I know that by teaching young children I am making a long-term contribution to the people they will become.

I am licensed by Department of Children and Family Services of Illinois to care for children in my home. This means that, after investigating my background, visiting my home, and collecting written references regarding my character and abilities, DCFS of Illinois has given me approval to care for children in my home. In addition, I must adhere to their strict guidelines for excellence in child care.

I provide a variety of activities for the children each day. We have time for crafts, interactive group activities, free play, songs and stories. I have both indoor and outdoor toys and equipment available for play. Examples of indoor toys include blocks, books, musical instruments, dolls, tools, cars, computer games, etc. My backyard is fully fenced and equipped with a sandbox, slides, ride-on toys, balls, etc. Following DCFS guidelines, I also provide healthy meals and snacks for the children.

I provide monthly newsletters, but am always available for one-on-one communication as well.

I appreciate you taking the time to visit with me so you can make an informed decision for the care of your child (ren). My hours of operation are 6:45 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
