Froggy Daycare

I'm a mother of three- two daughters, ages 6 and 1, and a 3-year-old son. I have first hand experience with my own children and have decided to open up my home to other children.

We love to play outside where the kids love to explore and almost always get dirty. We love to read and use our imaginations! We also love arts and crafts and going to local library programs. My home is child-friendly with a large playroom and a large fenced-in backyard with a playground.

I believe in play-based learning where children are taught skills such as cooperation, working together, sharing, etc. through play. I also believe it's great socially for children to be in small groups from an early age so they can learn valuable skills from an early age and to be able to practice how to properly interact with one another.

I feel that it's extremely important for the children to have a lot of free play - allowing them to make many of their own decisions. We will NOT watch television on a regular basis.

My house is fully child-proofed, so there are very few things that are off-limits to children. I feel that exploring and getting into things are a normal and healthy part of child development.

I praise good behavior throughout the day, offer a safe environment and I'm sensitive to your child's needs. I'm just a short drive from the Frog Bridge in Willimantic. I will offer healthy snacks and meals, flexible hours and reasonable rates - just $33 per day.

I will provide you with a daily log each day including (but not limited to) what your child ate for the day, something fun they did, and if I need any more supplies from you.

Our typical day will include the following:

Free play. Both inside and outside (except in cases of storms or extreme temperatures).

Potty, diaper changes.

Indoor play and lunch preparation

Lunch around 11.

Clean-up, nap mat set up and story time

Nap and/or quiet time

Afternoon snack

Straighten-up time and free play before children are picked up to go home
