French Valley K-prep Preschool, Llc

French Valley K-Prep is a licensed "family child care home" (LIC# 334840885), where pre-kindergarten curriculum is taught to children - ages three through five, on a part-time basis. The front room in the house looks like a typical preschool "classroom", but it's in a home; this is NOT a daycare/preschool center. The ratio is 4:1 with a maximum of 12 children. We are not babysitters; we are educators. We cater to stay-at-home households (stay-at-home: mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, or nanny) who want their children to learn pre-kindergarten curriculum in a home environment and not at an overcrowded center.

At French Valley K-Prep , your child will be taught by a California Elementary Credentialed teacher (Esther Sorenson) who designed a program suited for the preschool and Pre-kinder age groups based on the "California Preschool Learning Foundations". There are developmental and academic goals that are approached and taught - in a playful way. Lessons are planned and prepped by the teachers (Miss Esther, Margene, and Carolina) to teach in an area of development, whether it's social-emotional development, language and literacy, cognition and general knowledge, physical development and health, and approaches to learning. The children learn how to listen, communicate, follow directions from another adult (besides family members), the structure of a class, and how to start and complete a task. In other words, we prepare your child for their future in kindergarten.
