Fremont Parents Nursery School

We are a PART TIME PRESCHOOL. Our classes are 3 hrs per day. We are a parent co-op. This means that parents work one day per week in their child's classroom. Our philosophy is child-centered play and learning. We view each child as an individual that grows and learns at their own pace. We believe in the developmental theory of Early Education where, given an age-appropriate stimulating environment, the child is viewed as an explorer, who will develop lifelong skills through curiosity and social engagement. Our philosophy emphasizes the importance of play in shaping the learning of a child.
Purposeful play is the very essence of early childhood development.

Our teachers and parent volunteers that observe this type of play gather a better understanding of the child’s needs and growth. This information helps with our curriculum planning and giving new opportunities and skills in their play.
FPNS is a parent cooperative school providing a learning environment for both students and parents. As a cooperative school, we require each member to be actively involved by assisting in the classroom, sharing business operations, and participating in parent education programs.
