Daycare Center

The Frazer Center is a NAEYC-Accredited early education program like no other in metro Atlanta. With credentialed and loving teachers, the nationally-acclaimed learn-through-play Creative Curriculum, an inclusive philosophy that brings together children with and without disabilities, and a stunning campus nestled in an urban forest, Frazer truly is a magical place for children to play, learn, and grow.
Families who choose Frazer value diversity and a world where every person's gifts are celebrated. Approximately 70% of Frazer's 189 children (ages 6 weeks to 5 years old) are typically developing, and 30% have a diagnosed special need or are at-risk for developmental delay. With an Inclusion Specialist on staff and staff-to-child ratios that exceed NAEYC standards, children with special needs are fully included with their peers. All the children at Frazer benefit from this inclusive setting, developing into compassionate people and creative problem solvers. Children also broaden their world view by interacting with volunteers from Frazer's program for adults with developmental disabilities.
A full-time school nurse, specially trained language and literacy coaches, weekly instruction in Spanish and sign language, after school programs like Club SciKids and Drama Kids, gardening, enrichment activities like music therapy, pet therapy, Mandarin Chinese, dance, and sports, and a nutritious meal program keep children healthy, happy, and inspired. Parents love Continuity of Care at Frazer, where young children have the same teacher and playmates for three years. Parents also love the online portal that keeps them abreast of their children's progress using research-based developmental assessments. A vibrant parent group provides many formal and informal ways for families to connect and to support the program, from a fall festival to weekend play dates and camping trips to regular parent-teacher conferences.
Housed on a historic estate and garden in the midst of a 39-acre mature forest, Frazer's "city kids" learn to love nature. They hike the forest trails with their families, romp on our shady, accessible playground, and explore our Garden of the Five Senses and our outdoor environmental classroom. This beautiful setting is just part of what makes the Frazer Center so special - a place large enough to offer diverse learning opportunities for children, but small enough to feel warm, welcoming, and nurturing.
