Mrs. Ruth Smith, M.S. is the founder and owner of Focus Learning Academy, Inc., Mrs. Smith received a B.S. in Exceptional Student Education from the University of Miami, a M.S. in Exceptional Student Education from Florida International University, and is certified in ALL areas of ESE as well. She is a recently retired Miami Dade County Public School teacher of 35 years and has been the owner her own private tutoring company for the past 27 years. Mrs. Smith is truly passionate about the education of today's youth and bringing them to the point where they can reach their highest potential by any means possible. Each child is assessed one on one by Mrs. Smith so that there individual specific needs can be recognized and addressed. No matter the goal, whether it be passing a standardized test, getting some extra studying in for an upcoming exam, or working toward a diploma or degree, Mrs. Smith and Focus Learning Academy is the place where a child's needs will be met and progress will be made.
