I offer Spanish Language Tutoring Services. My name is Jenelle Fernandez-McDuffie. I have been teaching for 16 years. Previously, I taught Elementary Spanish and college level Spanish. I taught as an adjunct professor at South Georgia College and Georgia Perimeter College for 8 years. I currently teach Spanish within the Fairfax County Public School District. I love to teach and have a passion for sharing my love of the Spanish Language and Culture with my students. I enjoy making learning Spanish relevant, fun, and applicable to the lives of my students.
Student learning and student engagement are my primary focuses within my instruction. I use various strategies that support student learning and student engagement. My classroom is student-centered and applies a blended and online learning environment. I am a graduate of George Mason University, where I received a Master of Education: Education Technology: Blended & Online Learning.
As an expert in utilizing digital tools (web-based applications) to promote student engagement and support student learning. I support, encourage, collaborate with, and assist other teachers in implementing a Blended and Online Learning environment within their classrooms.
I enjoy serving both student and adult learners through clear, high expectations, facilitation, and support that helps them reach their goals. I am highly creative, organized, driven, and an excellent communicator with a strong work ethic.
Outside of work, I love to attend zumba classes, travel, read, and spend time with family and friends.
