AVOID - SKETCHY: I contacted JoAnna to watch my dogs a month before my trip. We set up a meet and greet, and when I texted her my address, she texted she would be late. I didn't hear from her again until 2 hours after our scheduled time. She texted that her "phone was acting weird" and she needed to reschedule.

We set another meet and greet for 2 days later, and she texted that she would again be late with her "best girl" Melissa. They met the dogs, and my dogs seemed a bit uneasy, but I just chalked it up to a first meet.

JoAnna said she thought my "babies are the sweetest" and she'd send me a schedule for watching the dogs the very next day, since I was waiting on her to book my flight. She did not send it.
Two days later, she once again said she'd send a schedule for watching the dogs but she did not. Four days after she initially said she'd send a schedule, I texted her because I was waiting to book the flight, and she texted that a different girl would be watching my dogs, so we needed to set up another meet and greet in a week. She did not set up the meet and greet.

I texted her again, now 3 weeks after our initial contact, and requested the meet and greet. We set a day and time. She did not show up and did not text me until after I texted her saying her "alarm did not go off" even though it was 4:00 in the afternoon.

I was now not sleeping well because I was worried about my dogs.
When I explained to her that I was now deeply concerned about the situation because she was late, unresponsive, changed sitters on me, and missed appointments; she said that she "could only do so much when it came to other people's decisions" regarding the sitter she had assigned to me. She then said she understood if I "don't have faith" in them and felt "unsure due to cancellations" and would send me other local pet sitters.

I told her I didn't have time to find other sitters, since it was less than a week before my son's graduation from college, and my trip was now at risk, and that she had promised to take good care of the dogs. She became unresponsive, leaving me scrambling to figure out what to do less than a week before my trip and weeks after I tried to initially work with her.
