One opening now available at Five Peas in a Pod Child Care Center, a cozy family daycare located conveniently between Rt. 291 and Chester Pike in Eddystone. The Wilmington Newark line runs within a very short walking distance from my home and offers ample parking.
A little about me:
My name is Angela and I am a 44 year old married mom of two daughters, ages 22 & 19. I began caring for children in my home 21 years ago. It afforded me the opportunity to stay home with my daughter while also earning a supplemental income. What started out as an obvious solution quickly grew into a career that I love. I find working with children to be rewarding in so many ways. Not to mention, there's never a dull moment!

Five Peas in a Pod offers a high quality environment that has the warmth & support to serve as a natural extension of your home. By providing open communication, a readiness to partner together in working towards a common goal, and trust, your child will feel secure. By having their basic needs met, along with offering fun & creative learning opportunities, your child will be in an environment where he/she can flourish.
Our days are full of both structured activities and free play, with the primary focuses being on language development, fine and gross motor skills, creative expression, and social development. All of which are key components to preparing a child to be school ready. I choose the activities so that all children are able to participate and I encourage them to meet goals appropriate for their level of development. The vast majority of the learning experiences will be introduced through play as I believe that is how children best learn.
My home has a fenced-in play area equipped with age appropriate toys and I live within a short walking distance of a playground. Weather permitting; I enjoy time spent outdoors with the children.
