First Steps' Child Development Center is a preschool program for children ages 6 weeks to PreK, offered at the McWhorter Family Children's Center near the corner of Woodmont Boulevard and Hillsboro Pike. First Steps' Center is specifically designed to encourage any child to achieve his or her full potential. Our students include typically developing children as well as those with special needs. Through developmental assessments, flexible curriculum and low teacher/student ratios, all children at First Steps receive instruction that is based on their individual needs, preparing them for success in Kindergarten and beyond.
