Daycare Center

First Presbyterian Preschool is a non-profit church sponsored Preschool with a longstanding tradition of excellence in early childhood education. We embrace both our wholeness as a Christian church and the diverse religious backgrounds of the people involved in our program. We strive to provide a nurturing and loving environment each day for every child to encourage growth mentally, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
Each student is encouraged to explore varied art media, dramatic activities, and storytelling, while building a foundation for understanding letters, numbers, colors and shapes. We present learning opportunities to develop physical and mental coordination, music, work and play habits, and personal relationships. Centers for blocks, puzzles, reading exploration, house-keeping, art and science, offer each child the chance to explore his or her own interests.
First Preschool starts and 9:00 a.m., and dismisses students at 1:00 p.m. We accept students who are 2 years through 5 years of age. Students must be completely potty trained, as we do not have changing facilities. Children will be placed into the appropriate classroom based on age by August 31st, which correlates with the North Carolina cutoff for school admission.
Tuition rates include a well-balanced lunch, and snack.
