First Discoveries Home Preschool - Licensed program for 10 children
We are a husband and wife team who have been in business for 8 years.
I have been working with preschool aged children for over 20 years. We are Christians and talk about God on a regular basis.
My husband and I have 5 children with the youngest being 3 years old and the oldest is 22 years old. We are CPR and First Aid certified. We provide a nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack as monitored by the USDA food program. We are a developmental program that focuses on where the children are at and what they are interested in learning. Your child will experience music, storytelling, creative play through dress up, art, block building as well as many opportunities for gross and fine motor play inside and outside on a daily basis. We have a very large play space outdoors with a climber as well as concrete for bike riding, a sandbox and a variety of sports equipment. Our schedule will look like this. 7:30 is arrival, 8:30 breakfast, 9:00-9:45 group time and group game, 9:45 creative opportunities during small group/ free choice, outdoor time. 11:15 is lunch and more outdoor time. 12:45 is story time and then nap is from 1:15-3:15. Snack is served at 3:30 and closing time is 5:30. Indoor and outdoor play takes place after snack. We rarely have to close since at least 2 of us are here on a full time basis. I provide many picture opportunities for you to see what is happening in our program since I love photographing children!
