About the business
First Class Academy provides one-on-one and small group sessions (4:1 ratio) to children ages preschool to 2nd grade. My goal is to 'Strengthen Skills in Early Education".
I am passionate about teaching children-and passionate about helping ensure they are equipped with the intellectual building blocks necessary for future success. Being in the Education field for more than 30 years working specifically with children ages birth through 1st grade has allowed me to see and learn the importance of early education; which is why I choose to cater specifically to this age group.
We design each student's tutoring session individually. We can focus on a specific subject (such as math, reading/phonemic awareness or writing), a specific topic or topics within a subject (such as number sense or addition), or combine subjects AS YOU WISH. We can easily incorporate elements of Reading, Language Arts, and Math. All materials and supplies are included!
I believe the most important aspect in a safe and positive learning environment is the rapport between a teacher and his or her students. When the students understand that their teacher cares about them and wants them to do well, students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and taking risks in order to learn something new. . All of my sessions are customized for the students needs to make sure they leave with relevant skills.

Tracy L. Jones M. Ed; M. Ed, Admin received an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education shortly after graduating high school. Tracy was promoted after receiving her undergraduate degree as the Family Development Coordinator for the Early Head Start Program which allowed her to supervise Home Visitors that worked with the families in the community and take on numerous administrative duties. During 9 years of supervision for the EHS program Tracy wanted to pursue her childhood dream of teaching. In January of 2010 she received a Masters of Education in Elementary Education. She began teaching Kindergarten for Omaha Public Schools and during that time she continued her studies in Education and received a 2nd Graduate Degree in Educational Administration in 2016!
