Firefly Family Daycare offers a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where children can thrive.
We see the value in structured as well as unstructured activities and make it a point to offer a multitude of activities that get children excited about learning and the world around them. We tailor the activities around the children's interests as well as offer new experiences to spark their curiosity. We follow a daily schedule that includes a healthy breakfast, lunch and two snacks and a preschool curriculum. There are also many times throughout the day where the children are allowed to play freely in our indoor and outdoor classrooms. We believe children learn the most through play.
We also focus a lot on social emotional learning where we work with the children daily on how to regulate their bodies and emotions, form friendships, share, and find their secure place in the world in a kind warm environment outside of their home. This also helps ease the transition to TK and Kindergarten.
Our lead teacher has over 15 years of experience as an elementary and preschool teacher and it is our desire that your child will love our daycare and come home talking about all the wonderful things they did and learned throughout the day. We can't wait to meet your family!
