Fingerpaints Child Care is a small, in home day care run by Heather Potwin. Heather has a Master of Science for Teachers in Visual Arts, is a New York State certified teacher for students birth - grade 12.
Heather whole-heartedly believes in a holistic learning environment in which children can grow through discovery based learning and be encouraged to not only creatively express themselves but learn through multiple learning styles.We think every child has unique abilities which they should be allowed to investigate and use to make their learning experience fun and more successful. We also believe that a day care environment can and should foster learning at all ages so that children can have the best foot forward in whatever educational path they and their families choose.
We provide a healthy breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack daily. We have a number of toys and games for all ages and we play in our fenced in back yard as long as the weather allows us to. Children are invited to participate in art projects and creative play as well as sensory activities daily.
