Patrice Anderson, founder of Family Matters approaches the intricate work of consulting with over ten years of experience. Primarily serving in sectors of education, with a unique specialty in behavioral change management and innovation. Over the years, she has exuded high levels of competence and great metrics of success counseling middle aged children, adolescents, and young adults ages 9-21. Her professional field experiences are supported by a continuum of education. Initiated by an Associates degree in Human Services, Bachelors degree in Social Work and expected attainment of her Masters in Social Work (MSW) forthcoming at the top of 2020.

Patrice's unique approach to the layers of family dynamics are influenced by her strong belief that behaviors are a manifestation of built up emotions. She candidly shares how she once read "in the absence of a strong emotional vocabulary, we all resort to our behavioral vocabulary". This statement captivated not only personal experiences from her matriculation in life but also aligned with various journeys that youth so courageously shared with her over her years of service in various communities.

Utilizing a familial dynamic approach, our services place emphasis on meeting with intricate members of the family to discuss individual needs and concerns within their specific unit. Assessments of familial history, culture, personal strengths, areas of growth and etc. are utilized in efforts to identify potential barriers of communication, collaboration, and interpersonal effectiveness within the family unit.
