Family And Friends Day Care

We are a fully licensed family child care facility located in Upper Darby Pa. Your child will flourish under our care as they will be able to interact and learn with other children in their age group. We have a variety of educational toys, interactive games and fun activities in English, Spanish and Sign Language to foster a stimulating and nurturing environment.

We provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports each child's unique learning style, culture, and exposure with the goal of building a strong foundation for growth, future learning and life success. We provide a low provider / child ratio 1:6 that allows for more individualized attention and active participation.

Although operating on a smaller scale, your child will experience monthly activities, trips and events as a larger center would. Teaching social skills, language skills and team building skills through creative play and structured activities will increase readiness for school and self-esteem in your child (ren).

How will Family and Friends Day Care and Learning Center promote and provide the early learning standards that your child needs?

1. Low child: staff ratios are most critical for infants and young children because infant development and care giving quality improves when group size and child / staff ratio are smaller.

2. Improved verbal interaction are correlated with lower ratios.

3. Individualized continued adult support and guidance while encouraging independent self-initiated play and activities.

4. Children will benefit from positive social interactions from peers. Providers will provide one to one interaction, intimate knowledge of individual children and consistent care giving.


Infant Program (Ages 6 weeks to 1 year)
Infants love social interaction. Warm, positive relationship with adults builds trust, security, and language skills. Infants learn about the world around them through songs, finger puppets and and floor-time games.


Toddler Program (Ages 1 to 2 years)
The focus of this program is to build language skills and foster the child's ever-increasing curiosity. Our playful but minimal structured environment encourages milestones, explorations and independence through group activities.
