Daycare Center

Philosophy for childcare:
Explore the World Daycare will provide equal opportunity development for the early stages of youth by establishing a healthy and nurturing environment based on behavioral therapy techniques.
I am passionate about early childhood development and believe in the power of learning and opportunity for children to feel safe and loved, valued, validated, cared for and given tools to achieve their independence.
This home learning environment will give parents a sense of security and peace of mind that their child is having a great experience so that they can focus on their day.
We will practice the importance of independent social skills, confidence, conflict resolution, self awareness, empathy, and communication skills. Techniques used will include singing, imitating, echoic imitating, reading, and access to age specific tools for development such as books, toys, and games. We will teach appropriate transitions between activities. Children will be exposed to consistent stimulus communication (labeling of every movement the daycare teacher makes) and the proper names to everything they see and feel within their environment. We will also attempt to introduce additional concepts such as time management, accountability, group participation, patience, self discipline, building trust and healthy relationships, praising talents and achievements, and completion of tasks and goals.
As a licensed Behavioral Technician specializing in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA therapy) I have worked over 7 years in the mental health field and as a Behavioral Therapist for children with Autism. I am finishing my associates in Social Work and plan to complete my degree at the University of Utah to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
As a mother of two I value the importance of creating a nurturing environment that every parent expects their children to thrive within. I have work experience in daycares, mental health centers, and schools where I learned to empathize with both the client and their parents to help secure a safe and calm environment. This allows for the transition of everyday life to be easier to adopt.
