Expert Tutoring is a private, in-home tutoring service offering personalized education for teenagers living in the Bay Area, Marin, and Sonoma.

At Expert Tutoring, academic success is only the beginning. We strive to build self-confidence, improve organizational skills, and inspire curiosity. By maintaining strong relationships with our students, we help them achieve their goals and highlight their innate abilities. The one skill that serves all students throughout their entire lives is the ability to analyze and organize information. We teach our students how to store their notes, to begin test preparation early, and to set timelines for large projects. Most importantly, we turn teenagers into lifelong learners. We encourage them to take the initiative to research subjects that interest them: to become responsible for their own education.

Like any form of teaching, tutoring only helps if the student is willing to help themselves. Students, no matter their age, only gain the skills and knowledge they earn. That said, there are several reasons a tutor might be exactly what is needed. For some students, the biggest benefit is having a different explanation of difficult concepts.
