About the business
I provide pet boarding, walking, yard cleaning, training, feeding, playing, massages, brushing, exercising. I experienced dog, cat, and small animal groomer and obedience trainer THROUGH CARE.COM
I Exceptional Kids Connection, LLC provides: pet boarding, walking, yard cleaning, training, feeding, playing, massages, brushing, exercising. I am an experienced dog, cat, and small animal groomer and obedience trainer. I have over 25 years of experience loving and caring for dogs, small animals, and reptiles. I have provided obedience training, boarding, walking, and grooming for others, since I was seven years old. I have 15 years of cat grooming and obedience training. I have more than 25 years working with dogs, small animals, birds, and reptiles. I am very emphatic and have studied animal behavior and zoology, independently, for decades. I also know various animal CPR and am currently learning to work with horses. I have several friends that own horses and small farms. I am known as the "Doctor Do-Little" among my friends. I am not afraid of aggressive or fearful animals as well, I have extensive knowledge and experience working with trauma victims.
I think pits and many breeds get such bad reps. I also have a small rescue in my home and re-home abandoned and feral animals. I also do catch and releases to spay/neuter feral cats.I have volunteered at the Maryland SPCA, Inc., as a dog trainer and cat cuddler. I have also fostered many pregnant mothers and multiple litters of animals.
I live with 3 other adults, and work from home, so your animal will be in great hands and receive lots of love and attention. I do not believe in kenneling a dog unless it's necessary when I am away from home. However, my house is puppy proof because I have a 90 lbs Mastiff/Great Dane pup! I also, have had a cat for over 15 years and my first dog passed away at 15 (I had her since she was 6 months, RIP 2013). I recently took in a stray kitty named Hood (my roommate's), my cat is named "Precious", and my dog is named Lady Bird (she has two homes between my ex and I).
I would love to have more fur babies! I live walking distance from several parks, including the dog park, and have a back yard. I use positive reinforcement, treats, and praise to train animals. I feel that you should not yell at an animal since we do not speak the same language...misunderstandings will occur, but as long as I am clear about expectations I can train or care for your animal in the way you desire.
