Hello, I have been in the childcare field for over 10 years. My titles have included; nanny, preschool teacher, Sunday school teacher, youth soccer coach, and babysitter. I am a mother of two wonderful boys (L,4 and A, infant). For infant to preschoolers I am a play based in-home daycare. My infant program guides your baby's early experiences toward a lifelong love of learning. Your infant will be nurtured and loved to instill trust. I will respect the parents wishes on how to care for each child individually. Through my years of childcare experience I have discovered the importance of play. Children are naturally motivated to play. In this context, children can explore, experiment, discover and solve problems in imaginative and playful ways. A play-based approach involves both child-initiated and teacher-supported learning. To capitalize on these benefits, an optimum play-based program, there will be opportunities for both free play and guided play. Research shows play-based programs for young children can provide a strong basis for later success at school. It supports the development of socially competent learners, able to face challenges and create solutions.
