We are pet lovers. We decided to make a job out of it because of our love for it and also to help people who need a couple extra friends dedicated to making sure their pet is in loving hands. When your pets are in our hands, they are family! Your pet's safety, comfort and well being are our priorities.

Encinitas Pet Sitting was founded in 2015 by the young newlyweds, yours truly, Zack and Yumi Thieman. We met in Peru thanks to our shared passion for helping others as well as animals. When Yumi arrived in California last year, though we may not have known it at the time, Encinitas Pet Sitting was born.

Encinitas Pet Sitting started out almost by accident while helping friends, neighbors, and fellow entrepreneurs by taking care of their pets while they were away on business or vacation. We realized we really enjoy the work and decided to start a proper business dedicated to providing excellent pet sitting and dog walking services to the Encinitas area.

We both grew up with pets in our homes ranging from cats and dogs to fish and birds. We look forward to our time spent pet sitting as we currently have no pets of our own at home. We're currently further expanding our client base throughout Encinitas, Leucadia, Cardiff, Solana Beach, Carlsbad, Rancho Santa Fe and Del Mar (California).

I Love having Zack and Yumi Pet-sit my 2 "Kids" Kokomo and Kona Kai! I can be rest assured that my cats are well taken care of and the house is also in good hands! They do it all and they do it the best! Care, Enthusiasm and dedication. I couldn't ask for more and as an extra treat, I get daily updates and photos while we are away. We recently moved back to Encinitas for a new job and both work very long hours at our jobs, so were very worried as our pup has always had one of us at home throughout the week, so she is used to getting a lot of attention and exercise during the day. Our dog is our kid so we are very protective of our her and were worried about finding someone who would take care of her and give her the attention that we would. We found Zack and Yumi and they have been great! They have been wonderful taking care of our dog (Mika, lab/hound mix). She is so excited to see them when they come over each day and you can tell the way they interact with her they have a great passion for working with animals and take special care of them. They also have been very flexible in working with us to set up a schedule that will work for both us and them (since we are asking them to come virtually every day) and have found their pricing to be very reasonable. They have been great with our pup and are great to work with. We are so happy we found them and would fully recommend them to other dog owners that baby their pets like we do! Also really love that they send pictures of her on their walks during the day!
