Encinitas Child Development

ECDC offers a developmentally appropriate preschool program for children ages 2-6 in a warm and nurturing environment with a very committed staff dedicated to providing children with opportunities to explore, to experience, and most of all, to succeed. We support an individualized approach to learning, striving to recognize each child's individual preferences and abilities. Our curriculum implements activities that are appropriate for each child to grow, socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically. "A child's work is play" and through play, each child is learning to think for themselves, to solve problems, and to get along with others. This "play" and establishing good social skills is the basis for ensuring each child's academic success. Small class sizes and low teacher turnover allow children to develop a sense of belonging to a group and provides children with the security of a familiar routine. Our goal is to provide each child with a successful preschool experience.
