Elachee Nature Academy

Elachee Nature Academy is a SACS/AdvancED-accredited school licensed through the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning s Bright from the Start offering Preschool and Kindergarten-1st Grade programs, managed and operated by Elachee Nature Science Center in south Hall County, Gainesville, GA. Children have the potential opportunity to attend Elachee Nature Academy for five years.

Elachee Nature Academy students spend at least 50 percent of their instructional day outdoors in creative discovery and experiential learning. Children naturally wonder about the world around them. A nature-based educational experience combines the very best in learning opportunities. It is hand-on, facilitates a sense of curiosity, encourages problem-solving and builds social skills including teamwork. And it instills a lifelong understanding, appreciation and value of our natural world.

Elachee Nature Academy uses a child-directed, discovery-based curriculum to instruct young students in developmentally appropriate and meaningful ways. This gives children the chance to find their place in the real world, at their own pace.

Enrollment Overview: Elachee Nature Academy s school year is August to May, for our Nature Preschool and K-1 classrooms (aligning with the Hall County Schools calendar). We require a commitment for the entire academic year. Classes are 6.5 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
