I had a great free trial class with Karen tonight. First, we had a short conversation using only Chinese. This was very helpful for me. Next, we read a short Chinese story to help both my pronunciation and tones. Then we went over more new words in the vocabulary section in the chapter. Karen explained these words, so that I can understand them better. Everything was clear. It was an excellent class.

My daughter attended the Summer Chinese course of eChineseLearning during this summer holiday. The teacher Jane is always wonderful! She also was patient with my daughter and well prepared with the class. The only improvement I see is having my daughter speak more Mandarin when they are chatting about life beyond the lesson. I love that they have a bond and chat about their lives but it would be even better if my daughter could learn to say those words in Mandarin also :)

I started studying Chinese in China during a one-semester-long trip I took to Xi'an. It was a great trip, but I obviously didn't have enough time to learn Chinese. I didn't want to stop trying, so when I got home I began looking for options. I'm from a small town in the Midwest, so finding a Chinese teacher isn't easy or possible. My only option was online classes, and I'm glad I decided to go with eChineseLearning over their competitors. eChineseLearning's teachers have helped me improve my Chinese now that I'm back in the US, and I'm sure that when I eventually do go back to China I'll be pleased to see just how much progress I've really made.

I started learning Mandarin a couple of years ago. First with Rosetta Stone, then Italki and then Coursera. But every time I gave up after a few weeks or months. Nothing compares to having a real person teach you. I'm very happy to have found eChineseLearning finally.
My teacher Joyce is great and highly recommended. She uses all forms of learning including listening, writing, speaking, and even dives into comprehensive understanding. This helped me a lot because I learn by utilizing the material and not just hearing it! She is an extremely passionate teacher who really cares about her students learning. I now consider her a dear friend.
