We have experience with typically developing children and those with special needs:
The owner has 17 years experience of behavioral therapy with children with autism. She has taught in a preschool, led children's choir for 12 years, led Girl Scouts for 5 years, and worked with adults with disabilities for 4 years.
We have a low teacher to child ratio, because it is most important to have individualized attention for each child.
Eat. Play. Learn. only accepts 3 full-time children for each day. Part-time slots are available, if schedules permit sharing of slots.
Children thrive from a consistent, positive environment allowing them to understand the behavior expected of them. The word "no" should be reserved for emergencies and dangerous situations. Positive statements such as "stay on the floor" are used; they are more productive by stating the expected behavior. Negative statements such as "don't climb" are not used.
We are open from 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
