Half-day, structured and unstructured outdoor play and learning in a safe environment for children ages 3-5. Groups of 10 children with 2 adult trained facilitators explore nature, create nature crafts, enjoy books and journaling, spending the entire time outdoors. Science, art, and pre-k skills are part of the daily routine, which is not always routine. Children can participate 2, 3 or 5 days a week. Participation requires releases, tuition, clothing suited to the weather, and their own food and drink, including water. Children enjoy the outdoor space, all the while testing the limits of their bodies. Self-confidence increases, restlessness decreases, social skills increase and bullying decreases. It is suggested it helps reduce the behaviors associated with ADHD. There are other benefits such as learning to love and take care of the earth.
