Early Advantage Family Day Care, Inc.

I have a large day care license in a residential home with a large, fenced backyard. I I am located in the middle of Mira Mesa, at the top of Sorrento Valley. My hours are Monday-Friday from 7:00AM - 5:30PM. I have a Liberal Studies degree from SDSU, which includes early childhood education. I have been in the childcare industry for 30 years. I am in my 4th year participating in the YMCA's San Diego Quality Preschool Initiative. I focus on proper nutrition, socialization, character building and kindergarten preparedness.

My program includes:
-Homemade, nutritious breakfast, lunch and snack. We avoid processed foods, like those the made with chemicals and additives, sugar, food dyes and canola/vegetable/seed oils
-Social emotional support as they learn how to interact with their peers
-Potty training support once the parents decided they are ready
-Plenty of age appropriate books, toys and manipulatives for gross and small motor development, dramatic play, social and language and cognitive development
-Group time activities: story time, music & dance, discussions on food and nutrition, discussions on good character traits, coloring, puzzles, play dough, toddler Bible stories, letters and phonics, numbers, colors, shapes, etc.
-A consistent daily schedule with plenty of free play, offering frequent changes in activities to prevent boredom and keep the children excited about learning.
-30+ year proven curriculum created by my mom, who had a master's degree in education. The curriculum is designed to teach the children their letters and sounds and then beginning spelling and reading.
-Work together with the parents to help develop their child's social, emotional and cognitive skills.
-CPR and First Aid certification are kept current.
