Hello! My name is Alicia Dunne and I am a mother of two: a three year old daughter and a two month old son! I recently gave birth to my son and my husband and I have decided it's finically wiser for me to stay home with the kids considering the outrageous costs of daycare nowadays! I was a daycare provider on base at the JBER Child Development Center before my pregnancy so it just makes sense to start my own daycare! It allows me to stay home with my children but also pay the bills at the same time! My three year old daughter would absolutely LOVE a playmate or two so it makes even more sense in that regard! I work with her on the alphabet, shapes, colors, and numbers everyday and it shows! She knows all her letters, colors, shapes, and can count up to 50! She can even write a few letters! The CDC preached "learn by play" and while I do incorporate that method, I do believe my three year old is ahead of most of her friends because I sit down with her for some fun learning!
