Buyers Beware! Long post, my apologies. If you schedule a move out deep clean with Dream Cleaning of Charleston, Josephine Matthews, make sure you pay for the services AFTER they are rendered to ensure completion.

Appointment was scheduled on the first of November for the 11th and our move out list from our landlord was provided and agreed upon. I also sent Zillow's image inventory of our apartment to ensure pricing was accurate. I also explained we would be turning the keys in around the 23rd-28th. She asked for payment either via PayPal, or cash on site. Once we paid the PayPal, she then refunded and said she had issues with PayPal stealing her money and needed us to cash app her mother, Jennifer Walker. This should have been our first clue.

Before our appointment, there was concern from the cleaner that she wouldnt be able to clean that day because her workers cancelled, so we rescheduled for a few days out. Then early the morning of the original appointment she says she will be there and we have to scramble to get someone to the house to unlock it (as we didnt live there anymore).

She requested that I turn on the heat for her. I complied and asked that she please turn it off and lock up when she left. After toilets, sinks and appliances were cleaned and floor swept (and possibly mopped, not sure for the streaking all over), she says her vacuum broke and would need to come back. I went to the house to lock up and found the heat on, 3 lights on and 4 fan vents running. Thank god I went back to shut them all off. Again, I should have realized there was an issue.

From there, she set up and no call-no showed on 4 separate occasions, 5 maybe.. too many to remember. This went on from the 11th to the 21st, sometimes daily. Telling us she would be there, or have someone else there, then no response or communication until that night with a different excuse each time.

When I went by the house to inspect what was left to be done, I asked about other items on our move out inspection, she said she didnt read it and unfortunately we would need to pay more in order for things like carpet cleaning (which she already agreed to before payment). One missed AM appointment, she finally responds at night, ONLY after I threatened to file a claim with our bank, to tell us that the workers she hired lied to her and told her they cleaned my apartment. She was apologetic and promised to have it done the next day.

Next day, no call no show, yet again, and that night she says someone else was running her facebook page and she wasnt getting messages. She says if she can, she will have a mover of hers go to my house to finish. Of course, no show, no communication, and then we are blocked on facebook. By this point, our power had been shut off, as we were now to the 21st.

She did a great job cleaning my fridge, oven, and wiping down toilets and sinks. But, carpets not even vacuumed, not carpet cleaned, walls not even wiped, nothing dusted. We lost our deposit.

Just be careful guys, I was dumb enough to trust someone with good reviews .
