Welcome to Douros Daycare & Learning Center, a family daycare located in Thornton, CO. We are a mother and daughter team that specializes in childcare for infants and kids up to six-years old. Sandy has 28 years of experience caring for and teaching children in her own daycare, along with Nikki's support. Nikki has 6 years of experience in environmental early-childhood education and a bachelor's degree from CU-Boulder. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe learning environment for your child while encouraging social, emotional, and physical development. Your child will receive quality personal and individualized care in a warm, loving home.
We have large, dedicated areas for the children to actively learn and play in, including a fully-fenced, child-friendly backyard. The stimulating play areas provide each child with an exciting world full of opportunities to explore, grow and learn through play. Because we maintain a low teacher to child ratio, your child will receive the kind of close attention she or he deserves. Daily activities include arts & crafts, music, songs, story time, ABC's, puzzles, counting, circle time, free play, dramatic play, and outdoor play.
Our family daycare is licensed by the State of Colorado.
We are both CPR and First Aid certified.
Well-balanced meals (breakfast and lunch) and snacks are provided.
Options for early morning/after school care and overnight care.
