My home is open to families who need loving, nurturing and reliable childcare. I have years of experience working as a prek/k teacher and most recently as a non-profit director for children and adults with disabilities. I know what a strain childcare can be for families. My goal as a childcare professional is to ease the burden so the balance between work and family is easier to maintain.
My program is individualized to meet the needs of each child. I enjoy watching children explore and learn from their environment. My job is to consider ways the childcare environment can be added to or enhanced to challenge each child in new and exciting ways. We do this through movement, song, play, books, community activities, manipulatives and developmentally appropriate games and toys. I believe there is a teaching moment in every experience and I strive continuously to capitalize on those moments. The learning never stops!!!
