I have worked with animals my whole life, first in Pony Club with a B rating doing combined training, and later instructing kids and adults and training horses. I have been a groomer for 6 years after 8 years as a nurse. I worked in a couple of grooming salons and decided it would be far less stressful for the dogs to move my clients into my home, so I built a shop in my house and have seen a huge change in the level of anxiety from the dogs. I love this job and treat every animal as if they were my own. After seeing frustrated groomers in other shops, I realized I was getting much better cooperation and response from the dogs with patience and a calm approach. I board dogs in my home as long as they are potty trained and able to get along with my three Pomeranians. I have a large 6' fully fenced in back yard where the dogs can play and go potty, and several dog beds and two couches they can sleep on at night. I am willing to give meds and go by your specific feeding schedule and will keep everyone separate during feeding times. You can also choose to have your dog groomed the day before you return even if it's just a bath and nails. I am home all day ad will spend my time playing with the dogs and taking them for walks.
