Divine Compassion Christian-Montessori Community of Learning Center supporting Parents and Children by providing individual Children an education that is academically challenging, developmentally appropriate and biblically sound in a Montessori learning environment. Christian Character Development is primary in the Education Process which works from the internal to the external. The sanctification process that ensues occurs in the character realm first and foremost, and is a lifelong progression. A Christian philosophy of education that is not evidenced in both a Christian curriculum and a Christian Method of teaching will fall short of its objective to build a biblical world view in the learner.
The Montessori style of teaching was developed by the Italian educator and physician, Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900s. The primary goal of a Montessori education is to provide children with a stimulating environment where students are free to explore subjects and appreciate learning during the course of their tutelage. Montessori learning has six aspects by which the children learn on a daily basis: Freedom, Structure and Order, Beauty, Nature and Reality, Social Environment and Intellectual Environment.
We at Divine Compassion believe that we will help develop biblically sound and structured individuals who will be consistently increasing in knowledge throughout their life.
Divine Compassion Christian-Montessori Community of Learning Center will offer all Academically based courses, Music, Art and Physical Education, Nutrition and Health course for the preschool and school-age children. Extra-curricular activities will be Gardening, Sign-Language and possibly a 2nd language (not yet determined).
